FDA Releases Small Entity Compliance Guide on Menu Labeling

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is announcing the availability of a guidance for industry entitled “Nutrition Labeling of Standard Menu Items in Restaurants and Similar Retail Food Establishments”–Small Entity Compliance Guide (SECG).  The guidance represents FDA’s current thinking on nutrition labeling of standard menu items in restaurants and similar retail food establishments and is intended to help small entities comply with the final rule titled “Nutrition Labeling of Standard Menu Items in Restaurants and Similar Retail Food Establishments,” which was released December 1, 2014 and becomes effective December 1, 2015.
