Application Reminder: Firms Intending to Ship Dairy Products to Chile, China, or the European Union
U.S. manufacturers and processors eligible to ship dairy products to Chile, China, or the European Union (EU) must apply for inclusion on the applicable lists through the FDA’s Dairy Listing Module (DLM). On July 25, 2016, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration launched a new electronic system to facilitate applications for U.S. manufacturers and processors of milk products to be included on lists of firms eligible to export to these countries. Some foreign countries use a list to identify U.S. manufacturers and processors that are eligible to ship dairy products to their countries. To help U.S. exporters that are interested in exporting dairy products to these countries, the FDA has established and currently maintains country-specific lists for dairy products for China, Chile, and the EU.
